This stop-motion film follows the non-stop, 22 hour-construction of a sculpture I was commissioned to make for Relax, It's Just Coffee, a coffee bar in Mansfield, Ohio. The film was shot, edited, and composed by film-maker/animator Luke Beekman, and was used by Relax, Its Just Coffee for promotion. Like the sculptures in my "Emergent Series", this piece began with a fabricated metal armature, but instead of hand-sewing canvas over this armature I applied a 'skin' of used (but mostly clean!!!) coffee filters.
